The payment for your Nursing Home is “means tested” on an individual basis.  This means your personal financial status will determine whether you will pay privately or be Trust-Funded.
Before you come to live with us you will have a financial assessment with your HSC Trust, looking at your income and capital to calculate how much you have to pay towards your home fees. 
Examples of income include:
• Interest on savings
• Private and/or state pension
• Benefits such as pension credit, attendance allowance or the care component of DLA
Capital may include:
• Savings and investments
• Any property you may own (Home/Holiday Home)
Some people may be eligible for financial help towards the cost of care, this is determined on an individual basis. Our Home Manager or your Care Manager will be able to discuss these matters further with you.
